Dumb question but I’ve been wondering for a while. So obviously the brewery/water treatment center makes some interesting odors closer to downtown, but I’ve noticed a distinct smell when crossing the bridge over the train tracks on Rose street. Grew up in an area without any trains, is that sort of burning rubber/metallic smell from the trains? Or is that something else?

Moving from near campus to George St. Give me your best northside bar recs! I loveee a dive bar (my favorite is King’s Corner near Mayo) but good food, live music/events or fun cocktails are great too! Or anywhere to avoid? Thanks!
