Background check - time

I received an offer contingent upon my background.Check. i was told it would take 1 to two weeks closer 2. I'm in the austin area. I think i'm on day eight. Starting to get nervous.\nTwenty years ago I would just keep it to myself and wait , because there's nothing I can do at the end of the day. However , in today's world , I can ask you find folks if it's common and I just need to hold my water for longer. I do have a mark against me , but I did inform the owner and she is fine with it. She also implied that it's probably not her decision.More of the insurance companies that she is a owner proprietor of selling their insurance. Any thoughts?I think I'm gonna start calling others.Assurance agents tomorrow just to start moving the ball.In case i'm turned down for some reason. The\nOther reason I might get turned down is I have a couple credit cards that I'm behind on?Because I simply am having having a very hard time getting work. I don't know if that plays a role in not getting hired or not.The amount is less than two thousand so volume wise , it's not a big deal about

P&C exam prep help

Hello. I passed the life and health exam first time with an 83. I had access to xcel exam prep. I think I took the two hundred question practice exam seven times. Now I study for the p&c. All i've been doing is using Ai to generate practice questions and finding free practice questions by google. I'm fairly confident.I'll pass it the first time but I love to find some other sources of free or cheap information slash practice questions. Anyone have any place or link , they know of that would help. Thanks for any input.

Idea protection

I just had a pretty good idea of a potential large client for Property Insurance.More specifically , to ensure his business in case of a temporary shutdown. I realize that i'm pretty ignorant in the insurance game , so it might not be that great of an idea , but let's assume it is. How can I protect myself from being poached if I want to ask for advice. I assume the real answer is don't say anything , do yourself. I'm still awaiting my background results to officially get hired and start working. So my plan would be , I would wait several days of real employment before I would talk to people who might work with and 42 get advice on if this idea is valid or not. Does anybody have any real practical advice on?When I should keep things to myself? So I don't get poached or or when not to worry about it. Of course, it's some love you pretty much.Have to trust at least your boss or you're in the wrong place to begin with.

Study software market

Hi. I used a retail study guide to get my life and health. Using free quizzes and Ai to get my p&c. I have a programming background. Im wondering if there is a possible marker to make a test guide helper.

The tools I am using are ok, but they are all test and boring. Im thinking of making a tool that had visuals, thinks you click; basically a more interactive helper. My business model thoughts are to have a free version with some functionality, with a paid option to give more questions, guides, etc.

Anyone have any thoughts if this would be viable product people would spend $ on or would i be wasting my time?

Farmers selling point

Hi , I start working soon as a insurance salesman for farmers. Talking with the owner and reading online, it sounds like farmers is never really going to be the cheapest option for a potential client. I'm wondering what farmers has to offer. That is a advantage or a selling point over other carriers.Since i'm not gonna likely be able to compete on price.

License expectations

Hello I recently acquired a life in health license in Texas.I also recently got a job offer from one of the companies that sells insurance. The owner wants me to get a property in casualty license as well. But I believe that's going to be totally up to me as far as study and pay in for any study which I don't think I need and then paying for the exam itself and paying for the license. The first few weeks I'll be training with the the corporate headquarters downtown, but it doesn't sound like that'll be training for The Pass. And the license, it'll be training for how that particular insurance company works.Their software system etc. My question is, is this normal where I'm just expected to add a pocket? And in my own time also get the p and c license, or is it totally dependent upon the particular shop?Whether they pay for it or not or is it a case of i'm kind of getting taken advantage of a bit and maybe I should look for another shop that would pay for it , i'm just curious what standard practices are. Thank you for any advice. Anybody wants to share my my personal concern is right now. I'm about as broke as you could possibly imagine. So just paying for this insurance exam and license is kind of a big deal for me. I would much prefer to go through that once I get my first couple paychecks, but The expectation is that i'm going to get the license within the first two weeks
