Wire for installing thermostat?

Just moved into a new place. I have a Biasi Rvia Advance HE M1100 combi boiler and need to install a thermostat as the previous owners (helpfully) removed the one that was previously there.

Looks to be a pretty simple job to install a receiver, so I bought a Drayton RF901 wireless themostat.

Unfortunately it doesn't come with any cabling, so what kind do I need to buy to connect the boiler to the backplate? It's opentherm if this makes a difference.

Smelly drains

Just moved into a new place which the previous owners left in a bit of a state.

One issue is a eggy smell in the kitchen. Don't get it in the bathroom upstairs. Kitchen plugholes don't seem to smell directly but it's there when I open the under sink cupboard.

This is a property with a shared septic tank, but the tanks was emptied a few months ago and neighbours aren't having the same issue.

There's no obvious blockages but the drains in the bathroom gurgle when the washing machine downstairs empties.

I've tried vinegar/bicarb/hot water and septic tank friendly unblockers/deodorisers, but hasn't made a difference.

Photo shows the setup under the 1 1/2 bowl sink- this connects to a dishwasher on the left and a washing machine to the right. Wondered if there may be an issue with traps and gas getting in, and/or seals.

Anyway, grateful for any suggestions.

Linux recommendations for 16T90R (2 in 1, Raptor Lake)

I've been running Fedora on my Gram 16 (16T90R 2 in 1 with an i7-1360P) and it works ok but I've noticed it's pretty sluggish at times.

I know there's a bunch of tinkering that can be done around CPU throttling and other things to investigate like thunderbolt issues, but I'm ready for a change of distro anyway, so any recommendations for something that'll work and perform well ootb?

Have been using Linux for about a year and have tried a bunch of distros on my desktop. Since the Gram is for work I need it to be something that's not going to break 10 minutes before I have a presentation. Prefer something independent and community-run if possible.

I don't need Mint-level beginner friendly but not really up for spending days doing manual configs either. Would be nice if the stylus worked well.
