Hi everyone!

I’m relocating to the Jacksonville area soon for work (Southside of Jax, near the Gate Parkway/Town Center area) and starting my apartment search but need some guidance navigating all of the options and figuring out which areas are best (and which to avoid).

Does anyone have recommendations for apartment locators or real estate agents who help with apartment finding? Or any tips on where to look/avoid nearby would be super helpful too.

I’d really appreciate any guidance, thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I’m moving to the New Orleans area soon for work and have been considering Slidell as an option. I’ll be working in the Lake Terrace/Lake Oaks area and would like a max 30-minute commute.

I’ve heard mixed things about it. Some people say avoid & move elsewhere while others say it’s perfectly fine, growing, and just like any other small suburb. For those who live there (or know it well), how is it really? And why do you think it gets a negative reputation?

I’m looking for a safe area with a 30-minute (or less) commute into the city, and would love any apartment recommendations in Slidell. I’ve come across Harborside and Villa du Lac Apartments. Does anyone have experience with those or opinions on them?

Any insight (good or bad), specific apartment suggestions, or areas to consider/avoid would be super helpful. Thank you!!
