The tragedy of Hank Venture

I watched this show from when it first started. i never liked Hank. I was more invested in Dean. Dean was sweet and studious while Hank was brash and dumb. But over the years I really pity Hank now. Here’s a boy who grew up with a shit father who ignores him while also being around Brock Sampson. A literal legends in his field of being a spy and killing people. Hank idolizes Brock and wants to be just like him. He wants to be a man of action. Yet no one thinks he can and never gives him a chance. Despite having skills, enough to thwart/pass Hunters weird test while at Sphinx, no one takes him seriously.

Hank is stuck in a life of super science and spy craft, wanting to be a secret agent but no one thinks he belongs. He acknowledged he is ignorant of the world but has literally no option to get better since he stuck with a terrible father and weirdly sheltered home life. Even his one friend ends up going to the OSI, were at least they gave that dirt bag a chance. But Hanks never gets a chance.

So Hank’s dream becomes impossible because of people‘s perception of him and life. both things Hank never had any control over. it’s another venture tragedy.
