Some liquid culture! [Technique]

First timer here. Inoculated these from a parent liquid culture on 3/26/26 and they seem to definitely have grown! I've had them stored at about 65-75F and I'm agitating them every 3-4 days or so.

First, 300ml of water was heated in a glass pint jar with the lid off via microwave not to boiling, but just hot enough to fully dissolve 15ml of local honey inside. After the honey, and a metal blender ball, is added and the honey is dissolved (aided by rigorous stirring) it is sealed with a homemade injection port lid. After being sealed, they are placed in a presto canner. The lids are covered with foil and loosened a quarter turn. Then, they are pressure sterilized at 15psi for 30 minutes. The pressure is relieved rapidly via removing the regulator. As soon as it is safe, the lids are sealed and the jars are removed from the canner and left to cool.

(disclaimer if you recreate my process please be safe with the pressure cooker)

Then, the jars were simply injected with parent liquid culture inside an SAB following sterile protocol. After inoculated, the jars are wiped with alcohol and stirred a final time before being sent to the incubator.
