Bought a 2016 Golf R. Im still within the 7 day window and have taken it to be inspected at a dealer, well it comes back with about 3k repair, timing chain maintenance I guess its stretched, and a couple normal leaks. The timing chain issue is a knowing heavy maintenance, but indicates wear on the vehicle. It is always roughly 20k miles unkrelated routine maintenance. I expected something, but this is a big ask.

I dont trust a Pepboys or Firestone to do the work as it is foriegn performance vehicle.

Thinking ill return it, thoughts?
