Exploring opportunities at PwC Belgium (Tech/Digital) – Is the Big 4 "grind" real for IT?

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently been shortlisted for a tech-focused position at PwC Belgium. Before I dive deep into the interview rounds, I want to manage my expectations and see if the reality aligns with the job descriptions.

I’m looking for some honest feedback on a few points:

IT & Innovation: For those working in the tech/digital space at PwC, how is the environment? Is it genuinely forward-thinking with modern projects, or is IT mostly seen as a "support function" for the auditors and consultants?

Work-Life Balance: We’ve all heard the Big 4 stereotypes. Is it actually possible to have a life outside of work in the Belgian tech teams, or are 60-hour weeks the baseline?

Company Culture: Is the atmosphere supportive for tech professionals? I’m curious if there’s a good "learning culture" or if it’s strictly billable-hour focused.

The Perks (The "Belgium Special"): How is the benefits package? Specifically curious about the current car policy/mobility budget options, net allowances, and if the year-end bonuses are actually significant.

If you currently work there or left recently, I’d love to hear your take. Is it a great place to grow your career, or should I proceed with caution?

Thanks!
