Looking for a device that can add some tactility and complements a hybrid workflow with ableton.
At first I was thinking DT2, but Simpler is much more powerful. I don’t really understand what Tonverk does but it seems like it would be a nice addition to ableton.
Would love to hear anyone’s experience with either device and how they use it with Ableton.
Curious if anyone has explored this combo? If so, what role does each play?
Been trying to watch videos on the Maschine+ since I’m curious in a standalone groovebox. Was looking at the Push because I use Ableton, but the Maschine+ has a better battery life.
What caught my attention about the Maschine+ were the ease of copying and adding onto existing scenes, as well as the randomization with the sequencer grid.
What other features of the Maschine make it stand out and worth a look in 2026?
This question comes from having fun with Granulator in Ableton. What other ways do you like to manipulate samples or what plugins do you like for messing around with samples?
Chopping and playing slices with a 1/4 or 1/8 length is straightforward but how do you use varying slice lengths? Is it just a matter of experimentation?
