My first (*bare bones) adventure supplement: "Train of The Damned"

I only included the first ten pages just to give a sample of what lurks in wait for anyone who'd like to run this adventure, which is designed to be a 3-4 hour 1-shot depending on the number of players.

I've got it up on itch.io for free, so please have at it, and smack me upside the head with any feedback you've got! It's a "bare bones" style because I haven't been able to fully tackle all the artwork yet, but I really want to share this adventure with people.

Eventually, I plan for this to be the central adventure in a larger zine-style supplement that will allow the deranged denizens of The Dying Lands to travel its hellscapes like never before...

I'm just not there yet.

------

BACKGROUND:

Set in Bergen Chrypt, the story begins around a hilltop enclave known as "Kragzuul." Beneath the main city, are the lowland slums. There, joining an organized crime family offers the peasantry, what is often, their best shot at surviving another day...

Characters will find themselves and fellow criminals suspended in darkness; restrained, scouring their memories, struggling to understand how they ended up in a dank and musty space that rattles and shakes...as if it were moving...

What’s the last thing they remember? Will it help them escape? And if they do, what can be done as the giant metal machine hurtles onward through the deadly landscape of Bergen Chrypt?

-------

Everything that's included on top of the full GM companion for running the adventure:

  • 15 pre-made characters and NPCs
  • Adventure Specific Character Sheets
  • 20 New Arcane Powers
  • 20 New Arcane Catastrophes
  • 20 More Tragic Tales
  • 20 More Broken Bodies
  • 20 More Bad Habits
  • 20 More Terrible Traits
  • 48 More Name Options
  • Signaturfras Supplement Table
  • Joining a Crime Family Supplement

HAVE AT IT! AND FUCK SHIT UP!

[Offline - Anime Central Convention] [5e 2024] [Friday, May 15th @ 7pm CST] "Train of The Damned" One Shot

You - Criminals. The City? On Fire. Your Escape: A train. Can you make it till the end in this horror 5E adventure?

I have been invited to run "Train of The Damned" at Anime Central this weekend in Rosemont (Chicagoland), Illinois. If you will be attending the convention consider reserving your spot at the table! This session will be held in the gaming area and you'll need a convention badge!

The adventure will be equal parts, combat, mystery, and puzzles with dangerous and deadly twists. Players can create their own level two characters or utilize an assortment of premade characters trying to survive the "Great Cleanse" in the slums beneath the isolated kingdom of Kragzuul.

I've been GMing for three years now, predominately 5e2024, but I also have experience running Shadowdark and Mork Borg. And now, I am very much looking forward to sharing this adventure in a convention setting.

NOTE: This one-shot features significant narrative death and usually leads to graphic language while roleplaying. The table will agree to "Lines & Veils" but please keep this in mind.
