The artwork is pretty much where I want it to be. The text is probably too juvenile, but I think this could still be lots of fun. I'm more into camp than gritty realism, but I love the Mörk Borg system.
The sculpts are from the Faces of a Dying World series, mostly used Vallejo Paints
And i have to make more space for my Borg stuff...
Some more concept art I made for a hack I am dreaming up. Trying to zero in on the tone and themes through art first, everything else second.
Been a lot of fun playing Mörk Borg again with a small group from work separate from my main group.
Been running a campaign near the southern coastlands of Wastland, where a civil war has taken the military north and left the region in a lawless shape.
The PCs have joined then taken over a gang in the town of Rattenburg called the Plague, and are now operating their own criminal enterprise out of the Black Rat Tavern.
Backed this when it hit Kickstarter and they've been really open with the updates. Happy to say finally got my books.
Looking forward to playing Vikings vs Samurai in Mork Borg 😂
This time with m0ldy. A vicious, prowling enemy stalks the shoreline of northern Mosscroft. free on itch for. https://unitsix.itch.io/after-market-parts-compatible-with-cy-borg-and-kill-engn
A lot of modern GMing advice advocates for the use of open statement responses: “yes, and”/“no, but”. I for one, feel like the simple ‘no’ is really under-appreciated! So I’ve written up a little blog post exploring why I think ‘no’ makes games a lot more interesting. It looks at some parallels with fiction and how that connects with how we might play at the table!
Hey everyone, I wanted to ask something that might seem a bit silly, but I'll ask anyway.
To make an RPG using the Mork Borg rules, do I absolutely have to make it dark and decadent?
I ask this because the simple mechanics of Mork Borg are very good, and I was adapting them to a medieval JRPG setting and other RPGs, which will have dark elements, but it's not exactly thematic.
I read on the official website that hacks and systems that use Mork Borg as a base are dark and decadent.
My references for this RPG would be: The Final Fantasy series, Chrono Trigger, Soulslikes, Morrowind, and other works...
SOME SCVM GOT CURSED... NOW WHAT?
We've all been there. One of our players fucks around and finds out - and their character turns into a Goblin. But what does this transformation look like? How do we describe it? And what if we gave said player a second chance to keep playing their character - or at least what's left of it?

WraithBorn is a setting for Mörk Borg & OSR TTRPGs; Inspired by Folk Music, Ritual Magic, Grim Dark Fantasy and the Natural World around us. Set in the Veiled Realm of S’gàth, a shadowed echo of a medieval reality where the un-dead & the cursed reside beside the wretched & vile whom call this world home.
The Tortured Isles Campaign Setting for Wraithborn explores the 5 realms of the Tortured Isles. A conglomeration of lands ever beset by war, tyrants, villains and horrors.
Where the weird & wild mingle with the unfortunate undead, incarcerated in this shadowed realm of the Undead.
Fight against tyrannical conquering vampyres from the Frozen North in Tir, ride upon undead wyverns that soar across the wyld woods of the Rhyddian Plains, get lost in the endless & infinite industrial maze of Iodum, hunt down mechanically corrupted beasts in the toxic MystLands of Fynn, or uncover the secrets of the once demonic lord of Nieve.
In this book;
Tir a land of washed and broken wylds, overrun by Vampyric conquerers form the Frozen North that seek further dominion of the lands.
Rhydd where Undead Wyverns act as a defensive barrier to the Vampyric horde to the north, yet hide a sinister secret in their Wylder past.
Iodum where the endless city ever burns in the fires of its factoria, where the peoples of the land are fuel for the flames at the want of their lords above. Yet, the seeds of rebellion stir deep in the darkened web of its infinite depths.
Niève where the wretched prince has been dethroned by the Daemons he bore that turned against him. Yet, now the land shrinks into isolation, and none can see the horrors that may reside behind their barricaded walls.
Fynn brought to this land from the realm of living, in the wake of their Osciallation. The event that heralded the Corrupting myst that hides the mechanical creatures of another realm. With only the IronClad warriors sent forth to combat this plague, and find the source of this malevolence.
94 pages inspired by the works of Hieronymus Bosch, this campaign book links the potential of a simple deck of cards to the grim narrative choices. Three new character classes, Botanical Atlas, bestiary, and three factions fighting over the only patch of greenery in the Dying Lands. Link to the PDF below!
Hey everyone,
I could really use some advice from more experienced GMs.
I’m currently running a Mörk Borg campaign that has gone way longer than expected — we’re about to play session 14, and each session usually lasts 3–5 hours. I know Mörk Borg isn’t really designed for long campaigns, but my group is loving it, so we kept going.
The campaign evolved into something much bigger. There’s a primordial entity (Qoragg) that the players unknowingly helped awaken early on, and now it’s accelerating the Miseries across the world. Each Misery has a Herald tied to it, and the players have already defeated three (Hunger, Cold, and Deceit). The current active one is related to the sea — the Leviathan.
Right now, the Leviathan is invulnerable because of these entities called the “Dried Witches” (from Tephrotic Nightmares), and the players are trying to reach them to break that protection.
Here’s where I’m struggling:
The next session (actually a full weekend game) is supposed to include (in my early sketches):
And honestly… I feel overwhelmed.
I don’t know how to structure all of this without it becoming messy or losing focus. I want the session to feel meaningful and memorable, not bloated.
So my questions are:
Thanks in advance — I’d really appreciate any insight.
