Journal entry from Heir Cassian

It is November the 16th of 1321. My father says that legacy is important. So I shall write in ink the history of our family. Perhaps this is more of a journal for my own self but I hope the family may use this for years to come.

In 1299 my father and mother got married. Mother’s family belong to the streets. Father was a begger as a child. As an adult he worked on farms to earn coin. Mother’s family payed mere penny’s for them to marry. They did not hate each other but as many marriages of today it was transactional. A home a cow chickens and a family for my mother. A chance to gain reputation for my father.

My father earned a job as a merchant. When mother and father moved in together mother made a friend in this neighborhood. Alexandra. She was of higher class a lady of the court. Living outside of the castle to bring “perspective” to the king of the land. Though I doubt any perspective was actually brought. Lady Alexandra was pregnant along side mother. Expecting her first baby, lady Alexandra’s 5th.

In 1302 the 5th of May Alexandra went into labor. She and her daughter passed that night. My mother grief stricken gave birth to a baby girl. The next moon. She named her Alexandra.

1304 mother suffered greatly from this pregnancy she lost two baby’s during birth. Denota and Joan. Not twins but a placement of time is all. The family suffered greatly. For a daughter alone would make the transaction of marriage pointless to father. Mother worried he may seek comfort with somebody else. For a while I’m sure he did. We were able to afford our first cow named copper. She provided us with many milk that we could sell to bring us chickens. Who brought us egg and feather. The family was improving but socially in trouble. Alexandra though named after a lady could not bring the family wealth.

In 1306 Collette was born. In the cold of winter. In an attic with a crib made of wood and cloth, a small bed for Alexandra next to it. Mother doubted she would survive the winter. Father hoped she wouldn’t. Another daughter brought shame to the family. Mother and father bickered. Father searched for comfort elsewhere leaving mother to take care of the house farm and children all day.

In 1307 Amibilis was born. Daughter number three to the Doudney family. Five if we’re really counting. As Alexandra grew to the age of 5 she started learning her role. To help cook and to help clean. Helping with the garden when needed. The small house got smaller. Without a son father worked all through the summer to the fall building a bigger house. Reluctantly of course as his end of the deal had not yet been returned.

  1. I and my twin sister born on a cool spring day. Cassian and Avice. The deal has been done. A boy for father to raise and another helping hand for mother.

In 1311 Alexandra, after contracting the pox of some sorts passed in the night. The oldest of us, the namesake of mothers close friend. Both had left us. Life kept moving and while I was young my sisters remember the difference of what mother used to be.

It is a decade later. I am in my thirteenth year. College was of age and married a boy from the village, Calvin, of a milk farm off the bay. I hope many fortune is brought to them. They may soon be joining us back on the property as me and father have had plans to buy a large property to grow our crop.

As Amibilis grew she grew mysterious. Secretive. She met a strange boy from a strange family, none of whom look the same. Each with weird behaviors of their own. I worry my sister has been roped in. I pray the lords keep her safe.

Avice is a crafter, to knit with her hands is a gift supplying the family with warmth for the on coming years.

I pray to whatever’s up there that the family remain safe. And that I carry out the end of the deal.

Hi everyone! I’m finishing up my freshman year under Biology. I’ve been shadowing all semester and while I love it and know I will need to do it in multiple different facets across my whole career ONLY shadowing isn’t sustainable as I don’t come from a family with like great money. I need to work and get payed to some degree like being a veterinary assistant. I see lots of things since I’ve started talking about it with my parents (the phone is always listening) offering veterinary assistant classes and programs but when I first asked the Doctor I shadow she mentioned two specific set of volunteer hours I’d need to apply to at their office at the least. Little confused on what’s needed for certain or what I should be doing next.

My original plan also going forward was to get a vet tech license and move to my top school so that it will be considered instate during cycles. This vet tech license if want to acquire while still I. School for biology instead of taking extra years so if you e known someone to do that if you’ve done that or if u know a school that does that please let me know!
