Is there a LEGAL way to defeat "upload matches existing work of art" ?

There are 3 issues:

  1. I've played a fragment of "Aria of the queen of the night" by Mozart by myself, on piano. Wanted to make a cover, uploaded it - got that error. How is that possible? According to all sources, all Mozart music is public domain now.

  2. Say, I want to cover a certain song, for that, I've have a permission from a copyright holder to do a cover, but even if I play all the music and sing all the lyrics by myself, still that error.

  3. Too many folk and public domain songs are now "upload matches bla bla". While they were not year ago.

So I'm curious, whenever there's a legal way to somehow solve these issues. Does it worth mailing them?

Creating mini-host for iperf3 server with Zero W 3 ?

Hello.

I need a small device, which I will plug-in into LAN and which will run iperf3 server. Once it is connected to the LAN, it will email me it's IP, so I can connect to it and check network conditions. I'm considering Zero W3 as cheapest one with gigabit LAN. Will it work that way? does it has enough juice to rune iperf3 server at gigabit speeds?

Thanks in advance!

Can anyone help identifying the workstation/synthesizer used in this 1988 home recording?

Hello.

A friend of mine's grandpa was a local musician, with some interesting songs that are still covered and played by local bands. But, all his "master" tapes and recordings were destroyed in civil war of 1993 in Republic of Georgia, and he passed away in 2001.

However, couple of days ago, his grandson, while doing garage renovation, found an old suitcase with various cassete tapes, one of which seems to contain unfinished songs/demos by his grandpa. The tape is labeled with grandpa's name and 1988, which most likely means the year it was recorded.

The idea is that we want to finish/re-record these songs using authentic gear which grandpa used, but since there are no recordings/photos/videos left from that era, only this tape, we're stuck.

Below are several fragments from these songs, where instrumentation can be clearly heard. My initial estimation was that these were played using Yamaha PSS series keyboards, but I'm not sure and can't tell the model anyways.

Maybe anyone can help by listening to these fragments?

Hello.

You might think that this is LED, but it is actually nixie display! This calculator has PanaPlex type of Nixie tubes. I'm selling this calculator for $100 + shipping ($10-$45 depending on your location). Calculator is in an excellent shape, there's only some yellowing on the cabinet, but otherwise it is all fine - no scratches, dents, etc. Even the logo still has the factory protective film on it. All functions work properly, no dim digits, no unresponsive buttons. Ship worldwide (except Israel, Iran, DPRK and other endangered countries).

Hello.

I'm running this soundcard on windows 10 via PCI-E to PCI adapter. It works fine (I had to disable VT-D in BIOS because it was giving blue screen on driver install). I'm using it to capture some old records, but what I've noted that even if I set quantization to 96khz, the highest frequency it actually records is around 24kHz, which means 48kHz sampling rate, not 96. Also, what's odd, while driver is installed fine, I can't run any creative software, like console, mixer or whatever - "no compatible hardware detected".

Any ideas?
