Has anyone from Europe (and specifically Italy) received any offers?

Has anyone from Europe, especially Italy, received any offers this week for generalist expert or other roles?

I’ve been applying constantly lately and keep getting rejected or hearing nothing back, even though I have 4 years of experience in AI training, transcription, localization, and data annotation.

Do they now expect a portfolio too? Is a CV alone not enough anymore for these kinds of roles?

If anyone has advice I’d really appreciate it. Thanks.

Europe based projects

Hi everyone,

Experienced contributor here (AI/data annotation + localization, native Italian).

Are there currently any active Europe-based projects on Handshake, or any upcoming onboarding waves?

Would appreciate any info or pointers on where to look.

Thanks!

AI language tutor

Hi everyone,

I recently applied for the Italian Tutor role and shortly after received the link for the Grok recruiter interview with the 5 recorded questions. I completed it about 10 days ago, but since then I haven’t heard anything back.

I’m trying to understand if this usually means rejection or if their process just takes a while. I also checked on Greenhouse to see the application status, but I can’t really find any updates there.

Has anyone here gone through the same process or heard back after completing the interview?

Thanks!

Any AI Training/Data Annotation Platform Recommendations in Europe?

I’ve been working in AI training/data annotation for about 4 years now. I’m bilingual and have consistently worked in this field full-time.

To be completely honest, this industry used to be incredibly profitable for me. I made very good $$$ from AI training projects and never really struggled to find consistent work before. But in the last months, it suddenly feels like projects have become much scarcer, especially for people based in Europe.

I’m currently looking for new platforms/opportunities that still offer decent long-term work for experienced annotators/trainers/evaluators in Europe.

Platforms I’ve already worked on:

Rex.zone

Welocalize

RWS

Telus

OneForma

Outlier

Lionbridge

Alignerr

SuperAnnotate

DataForce

Appen

Invisible Technologies

TrustScale

DataAnnotation Tech

Platforms that seem almost impossible to get into from Europe (from my experience):

Handshake

Micro1

Mercor

At this point, I’m mainly looking for opportunities in the $30–35/hour range to align with the type of projects and expertise I’ve built over the years.

If anyone has recommendations for platforms, companies, private communities, recruiters, or even lesser-known opportunities hiring remotely in Europe, I’d genuinely appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!
