Last night after all day of running Claude Code. It came back and said “that’s a good place to leave it for this evening, shall we pick up <the next task > in the morning!” Or words to that effect.

I thought I was paying for the tokens here!

Hi all, I’ve had quotes for an installed system with all the usual stuff: 10 panels, 5kWh of battery and they’re all around the £10k mark which is a long payback in a house that we might not even be in in 10 years time.

Then I started looking at Ecoflow Stream ‘Plugin’ and thought for less than £2k I can get 4 panels and a very small battery. I can also fit 4 panels myself on a low roof with rails with no scaffolding so the payback time for this is probably 2-3 years.

Ecoflow seems a very expensive way to buy a small battery and you’re limited to 800W output. If I could get 5kWh battery and a 3.6kW inverter then the system would be much more useful.

So has anybody tried to do a small scale DIY system like this? Obviously I’ll use an electrician to get all the legal bits covered. What did you choose? Thanks
