Is 6 months free a good deal?

I am on monthly plus. Got a notification that if I switch to annual, I get six months free. Is this a good deal?

I know about Black Friday and plan to take advantage of that, but it’s awhile away.

How much info should a share with recruiter re family emergency?

A recruiter reached out to me directly to interview for a role that my experience is an excellent match for. I met with her and then I met with the CEO. My 30 minute meeting with the CEO went for 45 minutes and it was a good conversation.

Unfortunately, I have been dealing with a family emergency over the last week and a half and was unable to follow up after the CEO meeting (last Friday). It also took me longer than I had hoped to update my résumé, due to my non linear background

For context, I am up for a chief of stuff role and have a background that’s all over the place:

- started my career 11 years ago at the fastest growing saas startup at the time in bizops, joined at 50 left at 1000 HC

- left the company to pursue engineering, worked in full stock for a year and a half

- joined another startup as first hire, cofounder, and head of ops, promoted to coo. Was there for almost 4 years and managed every function except engineering at one point or another. Raised a $5 million seed in that time

- went to another seed stage start up for a year and three months as head of ops

He mentioned that they want to hire someone for this role right away. I am generally weary of sharing information about my personal life, as I feel, it can create doubt and uncertainty. However, given what I’ve been dealing with, and their hiring timeline, I feel it might be good idea to let them know. I’m worried that it will come off as an excuse.

I’d love any advice on how to proceed. I am a firm believer that roles like the one I’m up for require a lot of chemistry and mutual trust. My intention is to respect and honor that.

Thanks in advance

I’m in the process of planning our welcome drinks and I’m looking for fun options that could save us some money without sacrificing experience.

For context, my fiancé‘s family is not helping fund our wedding at all. My parents are covering the cost of the whole wedding and the brunch the morning after.

I live in San Francisco and there are some sunset booze cruises. I was thinking it could be a fun option to buy peoples tickets and do drink drinks on a boat. My wedding is in September so the weather will be quite nice (our Indian summer feels like actual summer).

I’d love to get thoughts and feedback on this. I realize that it will create a hard start and stop time, which I’m fine with since we’ll be giving people plenty of notice.

Thank you in advance!

Hi there, I’m looking for a higher end Photo Booth and came across mir mir. I received their pricing and although I was budgeting 2K, it’s more than double that.

I love the quality of the photos. Has anyone been to an event with their booths on site? Or have any recs for vendors that offer similar quality? Thank you!
