Where to go after hydrolyzed protein?
Looking for suggestions on where to go after a hydrolyzed protein diet.
My dog was having digestion issues and showing signs of pica at the beginning of the year, so his vet recommended a hydrolyzed protein diet. He's been on royal canin hydrolyzed protein and has done very well for the most part. No more pica and consitent bowel movements.
Now that the food trial is over, it's clear to me that he had issues with his previous kibble, Purina pro plan salmon. But I'm having trouble deciding where to go from here? I don't mind keeping him on a hydrolyzed diet though it is rather pricey given that he's 80lbs. His vet suggested gradually introducing him to anything new but had no brand recommendations.
