3D Printed Semiotics Symbols
A few weeks ago, I was on my computer at home, and had a realization: when I was designing the keycaps for my custom PC keyboard, I had saved all of the symbols separately as both PNG and SVG files.
Now that I am more familiar with 3D-printing, I've got all these files that I've put time and work into, and there are tools and processes that can help me print these symbols as standalone pieces.
I didn't draw all of the Semiotics symbols when I was designing my keycaps, but a fair bit of them, and honestly, it was fun drawing them up digitally. Since this has turned out so well, I plan on going through to finish designing the symbols that I didn't recreate before, convert them to printable files, and will post them on one of the print file websites if anyone is interested in printing any at home for themselves.
The file was scaled up to about 4" / 101.6mm squared, and 3mm thick.
The thickness is perfect for some drink coasters, or if you're like me, to stick to a wall to be various warnings or indicators. I'm working on turning my shop in our basement into my shop/office, and will be making a bunch of these for the walls.
Just thought that you fine folks would enjoy this. If anyone *is* interested in printing some for themselves, I'll make a post once I've finished with the files (for free!) :)
