Galaxy S26 not recognising USB‑C microphones (DJI Mic mini)

Has anyone else had issues with USB‑C microphones on the Galaxy S26?

I’m using a DJI Mic Mini and the phone refuses to use it in any system‑level app. The receiver powers on and the DJI app shows the mic levels moving, but Android itself doesn’t seem to register it as an audio input.

Here’s what I’m seeing:

- Samsung Camera (Pro Video) shows no USB mic option

- Samsung Voice Recorder stays on “Phone mic”

- Open Camera can’t select it

- Blackmagic Camera can’t see it either

- Only the DJI mimo app can read the mic (because it uses its own USB driver)

The same mic works perfectly on my S21 and S23, so it doesn’t look like a hardware or cable issue.

Is anyone else with an S26 having problems with USB‑C mics not being detected? Trying to figure out if this is a firmware issue or something specific to my device.

USB‑C microphone not detected on Galaxy S26 (DJI Mic Mini)

I’m having an issue with the Galaxy S26 not recognising any USB‑C microphone at the system level. I’m using a DJI Mic Mini, and the behaviour is really strange.

Here’s what happens:

- The receiver powers on normally

- RX light goes solid

- The DJI app shows the mic levels moving when I talk

- But no other app can use the mic

- Samsung Camera (Pro Video) shows no USB mic option

- Samsung Voice Recorder stays on “Phone mic”

- Open Camera can’t select it

- Blackmagic Camera can’t see it either

So the phone is clearly detecting the device, but Android isn’t exposing it as an audio input. Only the DJI app works because it uses its own USB driver.

The same mic works perfectly on my S21 and S23, so it doesn’t seem to be a hardware or cable issue.

Has anyone else with an S26 tried a USB‑C mic and seen this? Trying to figure out if this is a firmware issue or something specific to my device.

Thanks!

DJI Mic Mini not working on Samsung S26 (only detected inside DJI mimo app)

Hey everyone, hoping someone else can test this or confirm what’s going on.

I’m using a DJI Mic Mini with the new Samsung S26, and the phone refuses to use the mic through USB‑C in any app except the DJI app itself.

Here’s what happens:

- The receiver powers on normally

- RX light goes solid

- The DJI app shows the mic levels moving when I talk

- But no other app can use the mic

- Samsung Camera (Pro Video) shows no USB mic option

- Samsung Voice Recorder stays on “Phone mic”

- Open Camera can’t select it

- Blackmagic Camera can’t see it either

So the phone is clearly detecting the device, but Android isn’t exposing it as an audio input. Only the DJI app works.

The same mic setup works perfectly on my S21 and S23, so it doesn’t seem to be a hardware or cable issue.

Has anyone else with an S26 tried a DJI Mic Mini (or any USB‑C mic) and seen the same behaviour? Trying to figure out if this is a firmware issue or something specific to my device.
