Help me, please!
Hi guys,
I’m thinking about getting a 14” MacBook Pro, but I’m kinda lost when it comes to choosing an external monitor for it.
The Apple Studio Display looks great, but 60Hz is kinda hard to justify once you’re used to smoother displays. I’d really like something that can do proper 120Hz (or higher), while still having super sharp text and macOS scaling that feels as close to “Retina” as possible.
I know 4K isn’t the same as the MacBook’s 5K-ish pixel density, but I’m basically looking for the monitor that works best with macOS overall — especially for text clarity, scaling, smoothness, colors, etc.
So I wanted to ask people here who actually use MacBooks daily:
what monitors are you happy with and would recommend?
I’ve seen people mention stuff like Gigabyte M28U, Dell Ultrasharp, BenQ MA series, Samsung ViewFinity S9, ASUS ProArt etc., but it’s really hard to tell what actually feels good with macOS long term.
