Can hard water be a cause?
I randomly started getting tonsil stones semi-regularly several years ago. I'm finally doing a deep dive and I didn't realize it's also caused by "hardened minerals like calcium". I thought it was mainly from bacteria in food particles. Just before I started getting them, I moved to a new town that has very hard water. Like, the pipes will occasionally clog from calcium, and my kettle is coated in a thick white layer. It's a known issue here, many people have water softeners.
Could this be the cause?!? The timing makes so much sense.
