I have an interview coming up for a position at World Bank headquarters in DC and would love to hear from people who’ve been through the process, especially those who made it to offer.

A few things I’m curious about:

• How formal/structured are the interviews? Panel, competency-based, case-style, or a mix?

• Is there a specific way they want you to frame past experience? STAR format, something else?

• Any questions that come up consistently?

• What do interviewers seem to care most about? Technical skills, cultural fit, something else entirely?

• Anything you wish you’d done differently, or that you think actually made the difference?

My role is based in DC, not a field position. Background is in program analytics, so not a purely technical interview.

The internet is pretty thin on WB interview specifics. Any insight helps.
