I was first inspired by this ring from watching Selling Sunset. Way before I even met my fiancé. A friend of one of the cast had one. I immediately said “Ooh, that’s different, I think that may be my dream ring”. And lo and behold, our local jewelry store was able to make it. Yayy!!!! 2ct, pear, and oval on a gold band! Each stone is 1ct.

Hi everyone! My fiancé and I are getting legally married this summer and having our full ceremony at Life.Church in Clive in March 2026. We’re looking for budget‑friendly reception options in the Des Moines area that still feel wedding‑ish without being over the top.

What we need:

• Reception space for up to 200

• Modern glam vibe (black/white/gold)

• White orchids as main floral

• Buffet‑style catering

• Open bar (or ability to bring in bar service)

• DJ space

• Tables/chairs/linens included OR ability to rent affordably

• Bridal room or small space to freshen up after the ceremony

• Payment plans are a huge plus

• I can DIY a lot of décor if needed

Budget: Ideally under $10k for the reception portion.

Ceremony is already covered at the church, so we just need a reception space that’s clean, simple, and not a barn.

If anyone has recommendations for venues, community centers, event spaces, or hidden gems in Des Moines that fit this vibe, I’d love to hear them. Thank you!
