I regret having this coronectomy
So, I had a coronectomy for my lower left wisdom tooth. Was put under general anaesthetic and for the first 24hrs post op I was fine, sore but nothing over whelming. Its gets to Saturday night and the pain starts to suddenly increase. And by Sunday it's the worst pain I've ben in my life, I just know its infected as I can taste a sourness in my mouth. So now it's Monday, call my dentist first thing at half 8 and manage to get an appointment for 10am, as soon as I open my mouth she says "yes that's infected" and has prescribed me a 5 day course of amoxicillian and metronidazole. Anyways this is the worst pain I've ever been in, I'm worried I'm going to have a similar case to what I read on here, where the infection doesn't really leave and it's comes back for months until another surgery is required and I'm going to be on antibiotics for months on end. Day 3 and I genuinely don't see a light at the end of the tunnel, I had this procedure done to stop getting infections not to ensure the worst one ever. Is this normal, has anyone has a similar experience?
