I just got back from my first visit with an LGBTQ primary care provider!!!

Next month they're starting me on Estriodol and Spiro, and I cried when the doctor said that after six months on hormones, he would personally guarantee me that he would get my insurance to cover electrolysis. I literally cried right there in the office. I'm so excited!

The first time I tried to post this, in r/CommunityDonations it came off as suspicious due to me not having any other posts besides that day, because I had forgotten I even HAD a reddit account until I went to make one this morning.

So, I'm not asking for money on this sub unlike a lot of others, just putting a wishlist of necessary medical items out there, if anyone's feeling generous, that would be great, but don't do it if you think the money would be better off going somewhere else!

I suffer from incontinence issues, and have difficulties with affording the supplies I need to live a regular life. Unfortunately, the items are rather pricy overall, and thus difficult to get when monthly bills eat up your entire disability check.

The items on the wishlist, and the reasons I picked those specific ones are:

40x adult incontinence briefs: Daily wear, since my mobility issues, and my OAB make making it to the restroom on time almost impossible.

Megamax briefs: High Capacity briefs for overnight use, as I'm on sedatives, and am functionally completely incontinent at night because of it.

Northshore Trifecta waterproof cover: It should be pretty obvious, it's to help prevent leaks and support the briefs.

Huggies Baby wipes: Should be pretty obvious, cleanup purposes.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter!

Hello Reddit, I'm not in search of anything major help wise, just a little bit of assistance with necessary items, due to not being able to post in many of the gofundme subreddits, due to a lack of karma, since I'm not on reddit very often.

I'm primarily looking for funds to help me with the costs for my incontinence supplies and food, since I'm no longer able to donate plasma for funds to supplement my disability income to survive. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

A month's worth of decent quality diapers is about $300, at 2-4 diaper changes a day. Medication costs vary anywhere from $40-60 a month, since insurance doesn't cover a couple of my medications (Mainly my muscle relaxers) Food costs come out to about $60 a month, if I'm thrifty, and subsist mostly upon instant ramen and white rice. Not the healthiest diet, I know, but it's affordable

So, I have a strange mix of situations going on, I was originally diagnosed with OAB in 2019, but since then have developed symptoms of stress incon (leakage when sneezing or coughing) and functional incontinence, due to mobility issues (Left knee with patellar tendonitis, and a right leg with permanent nerve damage from the knee down, due to a raging septic staph infection with Cellulitis back in 2020, Blackberry bushes suck)

I used to donate plasma every week to help afford my incontinence supplies since my doctor refuses to even aknowledge the medical need for them and refused to write me a LMN (Letter of Medical Necessity) And, I'm disabled, so affording good quality diapers is a struggle. But, since she started me on a new Rheumatoid arthritis medication (Arava) It immediately disqualified me from donating plasma for a MINIMUM of two years after I stop taking the medication.

So, due to that lack of weekly income from plasma donation, I've been stuck with cheap, Fitright briefs that my local thrift store seems to always have in stock in XL, that consistently leak 3-4 times a day, and can't make it through the night without needing to wake up at least once to change.

Does anyone have any recommendations about anything I can do to be able to afford better quality diapers, for quality of life purposes? $40 a pack of 10 for good ones on a fixed income just isn't feasable, and I have been finding it even harder to leave the house than usual due to embarrassment and fear of leaks.
