This is STILL going on. Please take this as a warning.

Buyee has done nothing to rectify this issue and DHL has just notified me that their invoices are non-compliant and it is a possibility these items will be destroyed.

they’re currently wracking up daily storage fees because Buyee is completely incapable of shipping something correctly.

please don’t use this company. they won’t help you

Buyee, again. Second time I’ve had customs/invoice issues with them.

I posted recently about Buyee after the whole GST/customs declaration debacle, where the customs declaration had apparently been done incorrectly by AI and then somehow blamed on me. That one only got resolved because customs eventually decided to let the item through.

Like an idiot, I decided to use Buyee again, thinking maybe it was a one-off.

It was not.

Current situation:

I bought something through Yahoo Auctions. The customs declaration looked correct, I paid Buyee, and it was shipped via DHL.

A few days later, DHL contacted me and said:

> We are processing a shipment sent from JAPAN and want to have more information for customs clearance. > > Can you please double check and provide a copy of commercial invoice from the actual supplier of this shipment, not from TENSO INC, a logistic company, for customs clearance purposes? > > I have attached docs for your reference.

Fair enough. DHL wants the supplier invoice.

So I asked Buyee.

Their first response:

> Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with its DHL invoices from our end since we are using the PLT, Paperless Trade, service.

Their next response:

> We kindly suggest directly contacting your DHL regarding your invoice.

Their third response:

> Since Australia supports PLT, paperless trade, we are unable to issue the DHL commercial invoice to you. As an alternative, please reach out to the customs or the courier to obtain the commercial invoice.

So DHL is asking me for the invoice, and Buyee’s solution is that I should ask DHL for the invoice that DHL is asking me to provide.

This company is beyond incompetent.

My fault for using them again, but I figured I’d post so people can see this is not a one-off. If customs or the courier need anything beyond the most basic paperwork, Buyee seem completely unable to deal with it.
