Hi guys, I’m 5 days post op from slipped rib suture fixation (4 ribs). Today I felt a distinct click like a rib moved out of place, caused sharp pinching pain, then clicked back and the pain immediately improved. I have felt it a few times but not as very obvious as this where I had to move for it to go back. Did anyone else experience this and should I worry that my surgery failed? I don’t know if it’s supposed to take time for the ribs to stabilize after the surgery or not. I know that most people don’t have 100% symptoms relief for a year but I don’t know what symptoms that is talking about though.
And if slipping/clicking should still be happening?

I honestly did not expect the pain to be this bad. I haven’t been able to do almost anything for myself. Simply a tiny movement in bed turns into unbearable shooting pains. If anybody has any tips on how to make the pain better? I’m on day 3 since my surgery. I’m doing ice, oxy, Tylenol, ibuprofen, and trying my best to supposed myself with pillows. I am trying to walk and move around but it is painful.
Hi I’m wondering if anybody has ever caught visible slipping as I have. I have heds so I know I am much more hypermobile but I have yet to see anyone who’s ribs move as much as mine do. I get my surgery in 9 days, I have fractured cartilage between 7-8 and 8-9 then my 10th ribs are floating and slipping as well. I am getting the 2.0 with the sutures because my surgeon only does the 2.0. I do think I will need to see a surgeon about resecting one or two of my rib tips because they are curved in and upward.
