I built an app that burns a live scoreboard into your volleyball video while you record — per-player stats, serve tracking, and more.
I'm a solo developer and volleyball parent. Got tired of filming games and having no idea what the score was when rewatching later. So I built ScoreFrame — it overlays a live scoreboard on your video in real-time as you film. Not added in editing. What you see is what you record.
What volleyball mode does:
- Tap to score, swipe to undo. Best of 3, Best of 5, or Pool Play. Adjustable point targets (15/21/25/28).
- Per-player stat tracking — kills, aces, assists, errors, missed serves. Stats archive per set with career totals over time. Full undo stack.
- Scoreboard shows team colors, set scores, serve indicator (🏐), and a 🔥 fire icon on 5+ point scoring streaks. Gold highlights on winning set scores.
- Remote scoring — hand a second phone to someone and they score while you film. Works over Wi-Fi Direct (no internet) or via a join code from any browser.
- End-of-game "FINAL" overlay burns into the last few seconds with scores, set breakdown, and per-player stat leaders.
- Saved teams with rosters, colors, logos — carry over between games.
- Game history with team records and player career stats.
Free with a small watermark. Pro unlocks 4K, unlimited recording, ad-free, and more.
I'd love feedback from volleyball people — what am I missing? What would make this useful for your team?
