Edit -

I got unlucky with tire damage early in ownership. Around 26k miles, I punctured one tire (OEM Michelins 6 depth) and initially tried replacing it with a used tire that matched the tread depth and model. Unfortunately, that tire only lasted about a month, and because the CR-V is AWD, I eventually replaced all four tires based on the shop’s recommendation. A large portion of my ownership cost ended up being tire-related because of this situation.

Later, around 40k miles, I had another flat tire. Fortunately, the other tires still had about 9/32” tread remaining, so this time I only needed to replace a single tire.

After dealing with multiple tire issues, I purchased an OEM refurbished wheel and keep a full-size spare in the trunk for long trips. I’ve also started changing some driving habits, like avoiding corner lanes when possible, since I seem to keep picking up nails.

Another thing I noticed during ownership was that I had a brake fluid flush done at both 30k and 40k miles. Looking back, it seems the Honda Maintenance Minder likely wasn’t reset properly after the 30k service, which caused the brake fluid reminder to appear again earlier than expected.

These are just my personal experiences with the car, but I hope they help other owners avoid unnecessary costs and make more informed maintenance decisions.

2024 CR-V Driver Seat Squeaks Only When Moving Forward – DIY Fix?

Hey everyone, I have a 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring and recently my driver seat started making a squeaking/rubbing noise, but only when the seat moves forward. It does NOT make noise when moving backward.
I had the automatic seat slide-back feature enabled before (seat moves back when turning the car off and forward when turning it on), and I noticed the noise started after using that feature for a while. I’ve disabled it now.
I’m posting a video of the sound. Does this seem like:
• dry seat rails needing grease/lubrication?
• plastic trim rubbing?
• seat track alignment issue?
• motor/mechanism problem?
• something loose under the seat?
Has anyone fixed this themselves? If yes:
• what lubricant did you use?
• where exactly did you apply it?
• did you have to remove the seat or side trim?
Trying to fix it myself before going to the dealer. Thanks!

2024 CR-V Hybrid – steering noise after EPS recall repair

I had the EPS steering gearbox recall done on June 20, 2025 (spring seat/spring/end cap replacement + worm gear grease). Before the recall, I had no steering noises at all.

Over the past 11 months I started noticing a rattling/clicking noise when turning the steering wheel, and it has gradually become more noticeable.

Has anyone else experienced this after the EPS recall repair? Since it’s been 11 months, will Honda/dealers usually inspect or fix this for free if it’s related to the recall work?

I am at 40k miles and just out of warranty.

Any thoughts on my situation?

A few months ago, I brought my vehicle in for a gear shifter squeaking issue. The issue was not resolved after the repair. Additionally, following that service, I noticed that the center console became loose and there is visible damage (chipped/distorted trim) that was not present prior to the repair.
I have been waiting for an appointment for approximately 2 months, which is why there has been a delay in returning.
I would like these issues to be re-evaluated and addressed as a continuation of the previous warranty repair.
