As you all know, a group of us have been trying to hunt down Birdman. However, I think we found something entirely different.
I found this book down by the Levee this morning. Its about a bird cult, has anyone else seen this before?
Conspiracy Four
This one is the most unsettling: the birds aren’t watching humans—they’re rehearsing being them. People claim that if you observe a flock long enough, their movements start to resemble patterns of human behavior—clusters breaking apart like conversations, lines forming like queues, sudden dispersals like panic. The idea is that they’re learning, mimicking society from above. And one day, they won’t stay in the sky. They’ll come down—not as birds, but as something that’s practiced being human for a very, very long time.
Conspiracy Three: The Winona Offering Circle
On foggy nights near the outskirts of Winona, there are whispers of gatherings where people leave small objects—coins, jewelry, bits of food—in open spaces. By morning, everything is gone. No footprints, no signs of animals. The belief is that the birds take these offerings as part of a ritual exchange. In return, they “protect” the town from something unseen. The more offerings made, the calmer the birds behave. When no offerings appear, their calls grow louder, more chaotic.
Conspiracy One
In Winona, people joke about the birds but only at first. Locals have long noticed that flocks gather in patterns that don’t quite make sense, lining rooftops and river edges as if they’re watching the town rather than living in it. The crows come in repeating numbers three, five, nine—and seem to return to the same spots no matter what changes around them. Some say the bluffs and the Mississippi River create a kind of natural bowl that traps more than just sound, drawing the birds back again and again. Late at night, there are rumors of a faint bell-like tone echoing through town, after which the birds suddenly take flight all at once, as if responding to a signal. Murals and signs across the city quietly feature birds in strange, shifting ways, and on the outskirts, people claim to have seen empty cars parked beneath power lines where rows of birds gather in silence, facing inward like they’re waiting. According to whispers, a small group believes the birds aren’t just animals—they’re watchers, reporting to something older tied to the land—and that on foggy nights, offerings are left for them, only to disappear without a trace by morning.
Update on Betty's Burgers and Bird watching
Hey everyone, I was only able to attend the last hour of Betty's event. Can anyone who was there before me let me know if Birdman was there. I am trying to interview him.
This website from my local area has been blowing up recently, and I've seen people wearing their merch everywhere
Hi heres my bird story
Hi fellow bird haters and reddit users! Since this reddit chain has led me to meet so many wonderful people, I wanted to share more of my story. I am a current Winona State education student. As of late, I’m working on becoming a history teacher. Since moving to Winona, I have picked up many outdoor hobbies which led me to recent bird discoveries. Winona has so much weird bird activity and most of it hasn’t even been discovered. I will list more findings below. If you have more, please reach out so we can meet up.
