We have a 7d. He needs a new lens and was thinking about the SIGMA 17-50mm F/2.8 EX DC OS HSM. He also has the 70-200 from canon so it’s not his only lens.

He’s mainly shooting sports and emotions at sporting events. He’s 15. He’s got some great shots already and is getting great advice from others. He’s getting clients and having fun.

As a dad I want to make sure he’s one the right track. So… that lens? Good stuff? It seems so…

The camera, I know he should have better. I’m thinking the next step may be the mk2 but what’s the advice you guys have for a young budding photographer that won’t break the bank since this may just be a fad…
