Rant-UnitedHealth Hearing and Market Black Holes

Feel like UH Hearing is an abyss of difficult to navigate systems. First I have APWU UHC, I know I have a benefit of $1500 towards HA's. Call UHC and they say to pick a provider to get a hearing test, but I inquire, what hearing aids do they have? Repy- you will find out when you get there and they will tell you how much they are.

I mean seriously in this day and age you can't tell me which hearing aid place you contract with that sells the best and how much they will cost me?

Also would be nice to know which hearing center has the best support. I did go to an audiologist at a myhearingcenter that not only had a shitty little booth with a broken door, but this dude Larry tried to sell me a warranty package for an extra $1000. Seriously wtf, almost like a greasy used car salesman.

Then my hearing center totally bashes Costco hearing, which I have been very happy with for the last decade, 3 pairs.

UH Hearing has 4 price levels which i can buy, I now know. Goes like this;

Tech level Gold $1199 per device Relate 4.0

Tech level Platinum$1599 per device Relate 50

Standard level Up To $1399 see photo

Does the "Up To" mean prices are negotiable or are there HA sellers that price theirs lower, I'd love to know.

So Larry tells me that my new HA's would be custom to me and ready in 3 weeks! Just a few moments ago, he was saying how easy it was to reprogram and that he would do that in the store.

Seriously, this cat works M-TH (9-5) an hour for lunch, gets 90 minutes per patient, and batch orders things a week later. Plus he drives his baby a 2005 Chrysler 300, that looks like hell, I saw it when I left pissed off, because he said I had to have the extra $1000 warranty or he couldnt sell me HA's (bull shit)
