Project hail Mary based on alien contact was such a good movie !

I watched it yesterday and it left such an impact that I am still thinking about it . What differentiates it from other movies is that it shows a very creative way on how an alien life could be different having different senses than us . And another spectacular thing about the movie is it does not show aliens as much more advanced than us but in a way they are very good in certain parameters . Some of our technologies created based on our senses can be baffling for them as well .

I definitely recommend this movie to all alien enthusiasts .

The video explores the theory which says psychedelics had a role to play in the evolution of human consciousness . The human brain doubled the size in a short period of time and around 100 thousand to 70k years back we started seeing abstract thinking and evolution of language . There were practices like wearing ornaments , burial , and cave paintings . There were early signs of religion in terms of worshipping the mother Goddess and fertility God . ( Venus of Willendorf ~25,000 years ago)

The theory says all of it got enabled by mushrooms .

The theory of evolution is about survival of the fittest . Random mutation occurs . The one with beneficial mutation passes on traits to future generations . while the ones without favourable mutations fall behind in the race of natural selection . It baffels me how a simple hit and trial method can have such success . Look around , our world is so complex and sign of intelligence everywhere . All this from a primordial soup containing inorganic substances...

What if an alternative explanation is given by someone like , there is general intelligence in nature and clues lies to the consciousness which we find very hard to fathom .

The evolution rather than being a hit and trial method could be an intelligence driven activity . Maybe whatever it is , it might not have the absolute intelligence as we understand , but something that is evolving with inputs like an AI ..
