Please help. 1999 6spd miata
Possible pilot bearing or release bearing failure
My 6 spd NB Miata keeps almost sezing when taking off in 1st, itll drive fine until I take my foot off the gas and try to shift and the entire car will seize up and try to stop dead in its tracks, then when it comes to a complete stop and I put it back in 1st itll drive completely fine with no pattern seemingly, I've replaced all hydraulics for the clutch and it has a fm clutch and I daily this car so it's very annoying. After a ton of research all I've been able to find is it MIGHT be a pilot bearing or clutch release bearing starting to seize up but no sound. I get a weird ring or screach almost like a belt from 3k to 3.25k every time I'm in that window but no where else and clutch doesn't change the sound, also no sound when I just barely press the clutch in neutral, I'm at my wits end with this car even tho I love and have debated selling it just because I can't figure this issue out, please any help is greatly appreciated.
