Random $25 charge on my card???
Has anyone else gotten a random charge from uber and how do I get that money back. I haven’t used them in about a month (last time, and only time!!! I used them was March 13th. Transaction was successful, even tipped the guy and that all came out in one go.) Though it says pending and ik that means I wasn’t “officially charged”, it’s still money out of my account. I’m a broke freshman college student who makes very little money as is so this charge is a lot for me. Thats like a few meals right there. I want to get my card information removed but don’t want to risk them not putting the money back because they don’t have my information. I can only assume it’s an authorization thing but I feel like if you’ve taken my money before, why do you need to check??I’ve tried to contact their customer service but the AI has hung up on me 3 times and telling me to go through the app help center. Did that and turns out they won’t do anything about this unless I was charged more than once? I need them to cancel this transaction so the payment can go through and I get a dispute through my bank or they return the money to my account. I know this sounds stupid to be upset over but I really can’t afford for them to take that much and just not give it back for days. Anyone have any idea how to go about this? How to get in contact with a HUMAN support staff? Or like anything. How to get my card information completely removed from their system?
