Why are people drawn to a certain language?

Hi, so I was wondering what y'all's opinions are on why some people are drawn to a certain language.

I don't know if everybody has this curiosity/passion/likeness for a certain language, but in my case it has always been French. I'm an intermediate, but I've always listened to french music, watched french movies/shows, interviews, football etc. I'm also working on my french, hopefully I'll get to a fluent level.

Every time I get the chance to hear french I feel like a hidden switch in my brain gets turned on. Why do you think people have this? Is it just the sound, the grammar, the culture? The people? In my case, I feel like it's especially the sound of the language, I think also the way it captures emotion, that does it for me (I do love everything that's French tho)
For context I'm Romanian, if that helps anyone.

I’ve been a big Zayn fan for 10 years, and I live in Eastern Europe. As much as I feel bad about his health problems and hope he fully recovers, I just can’t wrap my head around all these cancellations, on top of the fact that he isn’t really touring in general. I can’t call it a tour if he doesn’t perform in Europe, Canada, or Asia—especially since he is half Asian.

Like, how am I supposed to feel? I’m currently on exchange in Scotland, and I had tickets for Glasgow. Thankfully, I was able to get tickets for Manchester, but I can’t imagine how upset I would’ve been if I had planned an entire trip around his show in a foreign country.

Honestly, I feel really sorry for everyone who is in that situation right now. I just needed to vent, so I’m writing this post. I bought early entrance tickets for Glasgow hoping that I was gonna get first row, now I have some sitting tickets, but I guess it is what it is

Edit: I want to mention that he is my favourite artist, I love his music very much, and my biggest dream is to see him live. And for a lot of people I think that's true, so let people be emotional about this. I hope he'll fully recover from all his health issues
