I’m gonna be a writer and quit my corporate job in five years
I’m turning 30 this year. I’ve been working since the last 3.5 years and it’s crazy how depressing life has become. Yesterday I had a conversation with my colleague and I told her I don’t wanna switch, I want to quit workforce. She’s five years elder to me and wishes the same but neither of us can quit cause Mumbai is expensive and we’re not from generational wealth.
I’ll quit tho, in five years. I want a four hour work day and a free weekend, I want to work for myself from wherever I want and have a creative fun way to afford my lifestyle. I’m tired of spending 10-12 hours at a desk, working at a bank where I’m just another employee that can be thrown out quite easily. I want this life to matter, I want my time to matter.
I’ll FIRE in five years and then I’ll become a writer or maybe a financial planner if I figure out how to use my certification.
