Curious about real experiences from people here who are on semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy) and strength training.
I keep seeing posts where people are eating ~800–1,000 calories/day, and I’m honestly struggling to understand how that works if you’re lifting in any serious way.
For those of you doing both:
- What does your actual daily intake look like?
- Are you able to maintain intensity (progressive overload, heavier lifts), or is it more maintenance mode?
- How are you timing food around workouts, if at all?
- Do you feel fatigued/dizzy/flat during or after lifting?
Especially interested in:
- People lifting 2–4x/week (not just walking/cardio)
- Whether you’ve maintained or lost muscle
- Anything that’s helped with energy (hydration, protein targets, electrolytes, etc.)
Not looking for medical advice—just trying to get a realistic sense of how this plays out.
