Just got back from 7 nights at the St Regis Maldives, 5 nights in an overwater villa and 2 nights in an island villa. Honestly the experience was incredible, the water is every bit as stunning as you see in photos and we got lucky with the weather throughout.

The butler service was exceptional, genuinely made the trip. Nothing was too much trouble.

Only honest caveat is both villas felt slightly tired décor wise, nothing that ruined the experience but for the price point you'd expect everything to feel a bit more pristine.

Would we go back? Probably yes for the experience but I'd want to see some refurbishment first. Curious if anyone else has stayed there recently and noticed the same thing.

I have a vine weevil infestation that's destroying my rhododendron. Already tried Nematop nematodes and neem oil but still seeing damage and finding the adults at night.

Funny thing is I grew up in the countryside and never once had them. Moved to the city and suddenly dealing with this for the first time. No idea if that's a coincidence or not.

Has anyone actually managed to get rid of these properly? What actually worked for you because the usual recommended solutions don't seem to be doing much for me.
