My MG4 ER is currently pulling around 4 miles per kwH now the sun has come out and outdoor temperature is about 13/14C. If that was maintained would be looking nearly 300 miles of range and close to WLTP.

That's based on a commute under 10 miles and all with a 30MPH speed limit. At weekends though it is the family car and gets used for longer and faster journeys. Motorway does hammer it and can bring it down to around 3.2-.3.5 depending on how I drive it and conditions.

I want to believe I'm not an idiot so please tell me that these are just universally broken everywhere?

Tried four different ones this week and none worked. Other public chargers not on the ESB network? No problem - or if there was a problem, you knew it was down in advance.

Fortunately I can charge at home so not a major issue but if you were relying on these you'd be screwed.
