If you buy from Otto, make sure you’re not buying from third-party vendors.

I got completely screwed over. I bought something for around €1,500. The item arrived damaged, but I got a replacement in no time. Two months later, I noticed that it was no longer working as intended, so I contacted the vendor to ask for a spare part, but I never received a reply.

I then contacted Otto. First, they told me that they had ceased all relations with the vendor and instructed me to “contact the vendor via email or phone and send us proof that you did.”

today 5 months after my first email asking for a spare part Otto told me they can’t do anything because they are “only an intermediary” between me and the vendor.
