Hello everyone

i am thinking of joining JU for my postgraduate studies (Arts) this year, and I wanted to ask a few honest questions about hostel life and the overall campus environment from current students or anyone who is there form (north-east)

I’m from the North-East region, so I especially wanted to know:

Are there many students from north-east (i know there are but just to be sure)
How welcoming is the campus towards North-East students?
Is there any discrimination, stereotyping, language-based bias?

I also wanted to know about the hostel situation:

I’ve heard ragging is more common inside hostels rather than inside the campus. What is the actual situation of ragging in PG hostels?

I’d really appreciate honest opinions .
