Metal shavings in rear differential
I recently acquired a 2015 tundra sr5 TRD off road with only 29,000 miles on it. I changed out differential and transfer case fluids just due to its age not mileage. I found this on the rear differential plug magnet. I’ve seen bearing failure before and it is usually little metal flakes like glitter. These look like remnants from initial machining during manufacture. Anyone else ever seen this? I’m gonna drive some and re-check. Hopefully if it is machining remnants metal would not be hard enough to damage gears/bearings if it had passed through any of them
