A simple "No" would've hurt less Towa-sama...
On Sunday evening May 3rd, my laptop started acting extremely weird after updating my iRIS Graphics to its latest version, after rebooting everything was working correctly, until 1hr later the screen started doing this. This touch display is a new one from the same manufacturer since the old one got scratched. I replaced it on December 26th, 2024.
I googled solutions, I cleaned my screen with microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol (70%), I ran trouble shootings with it.
I got a new AC Adapter since the old one which was the original was wrinkled and twisted, I read that electrical noise due to bad groundind can be the issue and this happened while plugged to that Adapter. The old one was not only wore out it was plugged to an UPS.
But since two days ago, it started happening even when it was unplugged. And now that I have the new AC Adapter, plugged to the wall, it started happening after a 5 hours of use, this wasn't the case prior to May 3rd, my routine with my laptop hasn't changed, but now this problem is honestly giving a headache.
Does anyone here have a solution for me? How can I know If this is a software, hardware or firmware issue? How do I fix this?
PD: The spot you see in the video, is the exact same since the problem happened, no other spot in my laptop is experiencing this. I had to disable the HID-compliant touch driver and disable the touch display for me to write this, otherwise I couldn't even use the page.
PD2: This error doesn't happen while in the BIOS but it does happen in Safe Mode.
