Speed Bubbles and firearms

Couldn't you just poke the gun half-way through the speed bubble and then fire? The bullet would still pass through the edge of the field while inside the gun's barrel but would be forced to remain straight.

Maybe you could argue that the force of the bullet passing through would jerk the arm, even while inside the barrel. But even then a Thug or Skimmer could probably hold against it. Or they bring a gun with a strong enough brace against the ground where there wouldn't be jerked as hard. Even if it had set up time, inside the speed bubble it wouldn't technically take long.

More still, if people took the time I'm sure someone could create a gun where the bullets are on one side of the time field while the trigger is on the other.

I find it hard to believe none of these things were thought of.

Both are completely different things. There's a lot of games that has the Character Customization tag for being able to wear a hat. That's night and day compared to full Character Creation.

I tried adding my own "Character Creation" tag, but it forcibly defaulted to "Character Customization" when I hit enter.

I'm about 1/2 way through Oathbringer and I'm kind of getting tired of Shallan. Specifically her apparent personality disorder.

At first, in Words of Radiance, it felt like she was playing a part. She made a persona to act as Veil. I thought that was fun. Method acting at it's best. But that's what it was to me, acting.

But that was tossed out the window in Oathbringer. It was when she created 'Radiant' during what I could only assume was a panic attack where I realized that it's no act. It almost feels like character regression. Instead of actually healing her wounds she cuts the limb off, glues googly eyes to it, then gives it a name. It's irritating and I find myself enjoying the 'Shallan' chapters but whenever 'Veil' or 'Radiant' chapters poke their ugly heads around I find myself skimming through them at best or just skipping them at worst.

Even if there's a good argument for it being 'Good writing' or 'good characterization' or 'Personality Disorder done right' or whatever. It's just not enjoyable for me to read. In fact my opinion of her is starting to lower to see her as just insane.
