Building an old school woods machine…
I once had one and I’m ready to rebuild. I live in the PNW and we have some HILLS and tight single track. Got flywheel weight, fmf gnarly pipe, power valve shim and throttle tamer on the way.

Looking for my next bike, I see them on trails and at dealers but hardly any online content. Why?
Looking hard at a good deal on a ex350
Long story but I ended up with two adventure bikes and I’m looking to trade/sell a 390 Adventure R in order to get a straight dirt bike. I live at the foot of the Oregon coast range and our trails are typically technical, steep and often muddy. I have a little experience on an older KX 250 two stroke that had a flywheel weight. Currently looking at things like KLX300 or possibly Beta Xtrainer. Tractor factor is important to me.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Been riding a lot of gravel bit got to push it a little hard on some Oregon coast range single track. My concern was that having all of its power in the mid and upper range that I wouldn’t have to ability to go slow enough for tight switch backs, going up hills and being able to control it over obstacles.
None of that would a problem.
