I made a Frame Saw from scratch ( Roubo Style).

I made this saw from 1095 blue spring steel . Filed 3 TPI, 0 degree rake , small set. Made frame from hard maple , finished with tung oil , turpentine and a tiny bit of pine tar . Made all the hardware myself. Plate is .042 inch thick and three inch's tall, and 41.5 inch's long. From initial testing it cuts noticeably faster than a saw I made from a purchased 5 tpi 36 inch long kit. I thought it would be hard to start because the zero degree rake but surprisingly didn't have any issue, although I do make a kerf from my hand saw to start with. I hand filed every tooth from scratch which took forever. Currently trying to figure out how to make these giant teeth faster . For those that primarily use power tools this is the saw that does what most modern wood workers use a band saw for.
