Don’t send notifications until they’ve been filtered. My idea is to keep nasty messages out of inboxes.

Hello, I’ve encountered an issue. I have received notifications for comments that say that I should kill myself. If I click on it to go to it, it isn’t there, because reddit’s filters have snagged it. But there the abuse is in my inbox. Because it was caught, the comment isn’t visible. Because it isn’t visible, I can’t report it. But there it is in my notifications.

So reddit knows this message shouldn’t be visible, but sends it to me anyway? That needs to be fixed. There are plenty of vulnerable people all over this place. What is currently happening is they are the only people who see the abuse, and they have no way to report it.

Had a user tell me to off myself

Had a user literally tell me to kill myself, twice. I can see the messages in my notifications, but because reddit caught them and didn’t publish them, I have no way to report them. I’ve reported their other harassing messages but reddit chooses not to do anything.

So how are we supposed to report this harassment? I have to show you my notifications for proof it even happened. Sub mods are not helpful, sub has no rules. I asked them to approve it so it can be seen but no joy.

Crazy FL Tag

I don’t know how the DMV didn’t flag this license plate.

Westside fire location? I can see the haze in the streetlights.

I started to go outside to see if I could tell where it's coming from but the smoke smell is too strong for me. Where is it? Wildfire or someone ignoring the burn ban? I looked at the Watch Duty and it shows nothing close to us. I'm Westside south of 103rd.

I have the Amazon Chase card but haven't been a member since last fall. When I login to pay my bill it tells me how many points I have. I want to sign up for the 30-day trial so I can use those points. Does it work that way?

Just a reminder that we ask creators to advertise in the pinned thread for two reasons:

  1. it keeps the floor open for subject matter discussion, but also,

  2. it gives us a great list of resources!

Don't forget to give it a look every now and then. We get new adds about every week.

It gave me crap trying to log in for a bit, then finally did, then finally updated a climate schedule after much saving and failing. Now it's telling me "there have been changes" and my Jeep is no longer in the app. Sigh.
