Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some insight from those of you who have experience with high-potency **L. Reuteri yogurt** (the 36-hour ferment).

I originally started this to deal with some long-standing gut issues: **GERD, bloating, and constant flatulence.** However, since starting the yogurt earlier this week, I’ve been hit with a wave of symptoms that feel like a full-body reaction:

• **The "Flu" Feeling:** I feel feverish and generally sick/run down.
• **Heavy Nasal Congestion:** My nose is totally blocked up.
• **Sleep Issues:** My sleep has been completely disrupted since Day 1.
• **Constipation:** Oddly, instead of "moving things along," it’s backed me up.
**My Dose:** I’ve been eating about **100g to 200g per day** right from the start.

I’m wondering:

  1. **Is this a "die-off" (Herxheimer) reaction?** Or could it be a histamine response because of the nasal congestion?
  2. **Has anyone else experienced the feverish feeling/congestion?**
  3. **Should I push through, or is 200g way too much to start with?**

I’m really hoping this is just the "bad guys" leaving the building, but the insomnia and congestion are making it hard to keep going. Would appreciate any advice or similar stories!

Hey everyone,

I’m officially 10 months nicotine-free. After starting at 16 and going through years of vaping and high-mg Zyns, I finally feel like myself again. I wanted to share the specific timeline and strategy that worked for me.

The Background: From Vapes to 24mg Pouches
I started vaping at 16 at parties, and by 17, it was a daily habit. At 21, I switched to Zyns to quit vaping. It worked, but I just swapped addictions. I went from 6mg to 15mg, and eventually to 24mg pouches. Even with "moderate" use (4-5 pouches a day), the high nicotine content was wrecking my system.

The Breaking Point
10 months ago, I couldn't ignore the side effects anymore:
• Constant anxiety and a short fuse (impatience).
• Heart racing/palpitations during my workouts.
The Brain Fog: Even when using, I felt like my focus was dependent on the next "hit."

My Taper Strategy (The "Step-Down")
I didn't go cold turkey; I dismantled the habit in three phases:

  1. Strength: 24mg to 15mg to 6mg to 3mg.
  2. Frequency: Once at 3mg, I reduced the pouches per day: 5 to 4 to 3 to 2 to 1.
  3. Duration: I reduced how long I kept it in: 30min to 15min to 10min to 5min to Zero.

Handling the Withdrawals
The Main Symptom: The difficulty concentrating was the hardest part. I felt completely "out of it" for a while. You have to accept that your productivity might dip for a bit—it's temporary.
The "Edge": For the first 2 weeks, I used very low-dose edibles (2.5mg THC / 5mg CBD). The CBD really helped with the physical restlessness and anxiety. Coffee also helped a lot with the brain fog.
The Alcohol Warning: Stay away from alcohol early on. It was my biggest trigger. It spikes cravings and makes you "forget" why you’re quitting.

The Timeline
2 Weeks: Intense cravings, especially in the morning with coffee. Massive brain fog.
1 Month: Cravings are still present but much more manageable. Concentration starts to return.
3 Months: 95% of the battle is won. The habit is mostly "unplugged" from your brain.
10 Months (Today): I still get the occasional faint craving if I see a can, but it’s easy to dismiss.

Final Thoughts
I’ll be honest: I still miss that "morning buzz" with a fresh coffee sometimes. It’s okay to acknowledge that. But the trade-off—having a calm heart, zero anxiety, and actual mental clarity—is worth it a thousand times over.
If you're in the middle of it: stick to the taper, watch out for the booze, and be patient with your brain. You've got this.

Hey everyone,

I have been dealing with gerd, flatulences and some other gut issues like bloating.

I recently started taking l reuteri yogurt (started this week). Since then, i’ve been feeling like i have fever, i feel sick, big nasal congestion, disrupted sleep and constipation.

I took like 100-200g of the yogurt everyday.

Is it die off? Should i continue taking the yogurt? Has it happened to anyone else?
