Can I join with extensive out/inpatient stays and a MDD/Anxiety diagnosis from when I was a child?

I want to preface this by saying I’m 16 and do not intend on going straight after highschool, I do however want to join around 20-22.

Anyways, from ages 12-14 I was in many different treatment programs. I read in multiple places that if you have had to be in outpatient or inpatient programs all together for over 12 months then you cannot join. Between outpatient, inpatient and residential stays from the ages listed above, it’s very likely to be over 12 months as I went to at least 5 outpatient group therapies that were each 1-3 months long.

I was diagnosed with MDD and general Anxiety (idk the official name for it) at 13 but I’m almost 17 now and haven‘t been “bad“ for almost 2 and a half years now.

With all of this being said, will this prevent me from serving in the Navy or really any branch? Obviously I know that there’s still time for things to change (I sure hope they don’t) but with what I have so far, should I give up on the idea?

Any advice at all is very appreciated, thanks!
